A one month period valid visa, renewable up to three months, is granted at the airport to the citizens of the following Arab countries who are coming for the purpose of tourism :

Egypt – Sudan – South Sudan – Tunisia – Morocco – Algeria – Libya – Yemen – Somalia – Djibouti – Mauritania – Comoros Islands – Iraq

Required Documents

• A round trip non refundable travel ticket.
• A hotel reservation or a clear and complete private address in lebanon with a telephone number.
• A cash amount equivalent to the sum of two thousand US Dollars or an authentic cheque of the same amount from a renowned bank.

Entry of Yemenite citizens to Lebanon via the border centers

The Yemenite citizens coming for the purpose of tourism via the border centers are allowed to enter according to the following:

A-  Traders:  Are granted immediate visas, after confirming the following:

• Holding a written document certifying their membership to “the chamber of commerce”.
• Having a clear indication of their job on their passports according to the regulations.
• Having an amount of cash money that confirms the trader’s situation.
• Having a hotel reservation or complete and clear private residential address with a telephone number.

B-   Physicians and Engineers: They are granted immediate visas after confirming their possession of the following:

• A valid written document certifying their membership to Physicians and Engineers syndicate.
• Having the Job title “Physician” or “Engineer” written on the passport according to the regulations.
• A hotel reservation or a complete and clear private residential address with a telephone number.
• The amount of money equivalent to the sum of 2000$ US in cash or an authentic cheque from a renowned bank.

Entry of Iraqi citizens to Lebanon

Immediate visas are restricted to Iraqi citizens coming for the purpose of tourism at the General Security department of Rafic Hariri International Airport – Beirut, after confirming their possession of the following:

• A cash amount equivalent to the sum of 2000$ US Dollars or an authentic cheque from a renowned bank.
• A hotel reservation or complete and clear private residential address with a telephone number.
• A round trip ticket.

The Iraqi citizens holding entry visas issued from the Lebanese Embassy in Baghdad won’t be admitted on the Lebanese territories without the consent of the General Director of General Security via the Operation Room.

The Iraqi citizens mentioned hereinafter, coming for the purpose of tourism via the airport and the border centers are allowed to enter according to the following:

A-  Traders: They are granted immediate visas, after confirming the following:

• Possessing a valid written document certifying their membership to the Chamber of Commerce.
• Having the Job title “Trader” written on the passport according to the regulations.
• Having an amount of cash money that confirms the trader’s situation.
• A hotel reservation or complete and clear private residential address with a telephone number.

B-  Touristic delegations: A commitment from the tourism agency or the traveling office organizing the trips and pursuant to a preapproval from the General Directorate of General Security is necessary.

C-  The Iraqi citizens holding entry visas issued from the Lebanese Embassy abroad, after the consent of the General Director of General Security via the Operation Room.

D-  Physicians and Engineers: They are granted immediate visas after confirming their possession of the following:

• A written document certifying their membership to Physicians or Engineers syndicate.
• Having the Job title “Physician” or “Engineer” written on the passport according to the regulations.
• A hotel reservation or a complete and clear private residential address with a telephone number.
• A cash amount of money equivalent to the sum of 2000$ US Dollars or an authenticate cheque certified from a renowned bank.

E-  Iraqi diplomats are granted a free entry visa at the airport and border centers for the period of six months and for multiple entries.

Entry of domestic workers and drivers

–   The drivers and domestic workers traveling with Iraqi citizens are allowed to enter Lebanon in the case of fulfillment of the following conditions:

• The employer should posses a valid residence in Lebanon.
• The drivers and domestic workers should have a valid residence in Iraq.
• Entering and leaving with the employer’s company or one of his family members.

–   The drivers and domestic workers fulfilling the conditions mentioned above are granted an entry visa valid for a one month period and renewable up to three months and the expression “escort” is written on their passports along with the  employer’s first and last name.

–   The drivers working for the employer are entitled to join the employer by land after confirming his presence in Lebanon provided that the car is registered in the employer’s name and the driver has a valid residence in Iraq.

–   A free entry visa is granted at the airport and the border centers to the domestic workers traveling with Arab and foreigner Diplomat accredited in Lebanon provided that the expression “domestic workers” is written on their passports along with their employer’s name and that they should depart with his/her company.

Notes      

• The citizens of these countries are exempted from the condition of possessing the cash amount or the cheque in case they are entering Lebanon according to an anticipated visa issued by the General Security, as well as those that have acquired a visa from the Lebanese diplomatic missions abroad on the responsibility of the mission’s head or principal. Holders of these visas are allowed to enter Lebanon by land, by air and by sea.
• Any breach concerning the given address by the passenger, whether concerning the hotel reservation or the private address, will entail the arrestment and deportation of the passenger  unless he or she notifies the General Directorate of the General Security  about the alteration pursuant to legal regulations.

• Every Arab or foreigner who has entered Lebanon by tourist visa, and violated the residence regulations for a period not exceeding three months from the expiry date of his temporary residence or his annual or permanent residence (non valid for employment, work), will proceed to a settlement of his situation upon his departure at border departments and centers, his passport will be stamped by the departure stamp after paying all the fees needed according to the regulations.

• All Arab or foreigner residents who entered Lebanon with a work visa and violated the residence regulations are forbidden from traveling. The transgressor is informed the necessity of consulting the Ministry of Labor to obtain an acquittance, and therefore he should consult the Arab and Foreigners and special categories department or one of the regional offices of the General Security.

• The citizens of these countries who are coming to attend conferences or seminars organized by local, regional or international parties are exempted from the conditions of the hotel reservation and the possession of the cash amount after presenting a document proving this invitation. The General Directorate of General Security will contact the organizing party in order to verify or check.

• The visa’s procedures are applied on the Arab and Foreign religious men from different sects in accordance with the nationality of each one of them if they are coming in for the purpose of tourism. As for those who are coming for other non touristic reasons, the procedures of the anticipated visa or the delegations visa from abroad are applied to them similar to the citizens of the countries they belong to.
